Agent Tools & MIBs

• snmpget and snmpwalk commands are used to query agents. snmpset can set SNMP variables.

  • snmpwalk 1.3.6.1.2.1.1 host

• snmptrapd listens for SNMP trap messages

• Currently supported MIBs for the CMU Linux Implementation:

  • MIB-2, Identification, HostResources, extended Interface Group (basic ifXTable only), and the TUBS Linux MIB.
