Troubleshooting

Make sure your home directory is not group or world writable (chmod 755 ~)
Make sure your .ssh directory is not group or world writable (chmod 700 ~/.ssh)
Verbose client logging with -v option.
Verbose server logging with -d option (output to syslog and stderr, also server does not fork)
